2026 Theme: The God We Know, The Life We Show

“Brought to Completion”

I. The meaning of God’s wisdom - The blueprints revealed

II. The manifestation of God’s wisdom - The blueprints results

III. The examples of wisdom – blueprints represented

A. Solomon: When asked what he wanted, he asked for wisdom (I Kings 2:2ff; 9).

B. Joseph: When facing unjust treatment in his life, he chose to trust God at all times (Gen. 39:1-5).

Application: God doesn’t make mistakes for He is all-wise. Most people today would say Joseph’s experiences of being treated horribly, left for dead, and sold into slavery are proofs that God is unwise and untrustworthy. Why would a good God allow bad things to happen to Joseph? But as we can see from the outcome of Joseph’s story, we can confidently see that God is wise and trustworthy and He keeps His word as Judah’s line is saved from certain death in the famine because Joseph brought his family to food and freedom in Egypt.

I acknowledge that many stories end differently than Joseph’s, and seemingly God is not in control, but we can have confidence that God in His wisdom uses every trial, every situation, and every difficulty to further His plan and purposes. ..For those who trust and believe in God, His big picture of wisdom is something we can count on..

C. Daniel – trusting God in a foreign land

  1. Interpreting the king’s dream – Dan. 2:14; 18-23
  2. Choosing God, even in the face of certain death in the lion’s den – Dan. 6:3-5; 10-11

D. David – trusting God amidst greater enemies

  1. Trusted God in the battle with Goliath – I Sam. 17:45-46
  2. David protected King Saul – I Sam. 24:5-17
  3. He chose to learn from his mistakes and asked God for help and restoration. Psalm 51:10 says: “Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.”

E. Esther – trusting God despite the threat of death

  1. Esther made sound, smart decisions.
  2. Esther risked her life for the good of the nation (Esther 3:15-17)

IV. The application of God’s wisdom. – The blueprints responded to

God did His greatest work demonstrating His incredible wisdom, foreknowledge, knowledge, understanding, proficiency, skill, and intelligence in the sending of His Son to this earth. He is perfect in His wisdom and the application of that wisdom. God sees the end from the beginning and knows the final outcome, so He always makes the correct choices. God doesn’t need a second opinion, counsel, or a back-up plan. He doesn’t need a second try or follow up to some failed plan.

Transition/Application: Therefore we can unequivocally say: the perfect plan, timing, and method of the manifestation of Jesus Christ on this earth demonstrate God’s wisdom in every facet and way possible. He is the best example of the wisdom of God, and amazingly we are a part of that flawless plan.

  1. God desires to __________ His wisdom with us.
  2. God won’t _________ His wisdom upon you.

“This is the crux of our life. This is the difference between revival and a dead church. This is the difference between a Spirit-filled and a self-filled life. Who’s running it? Who’s the boss? Whose wisdom is prevailing-the wisdom of God or the wisdom of man” (Tozer 136)?

Application: Don’t come to church and give your life to God just to take it all back at the first sign of difficulties. We have a choice then every day to make: God’s wisdom or our own wisdom.
  3. God desires that we ___________His wisdom.

When we fear God we are trusting God. Fearing God means we are trusting His plans, His ways, and His outcomes. God will lead me in the best place in the best time with the best outcome. We must trust Him though in the process.
  4. Because God is all-wise, He can be trusted to _________our lives.
  5. God desires whole-hearted ______________on His wisdom.

Churches see three kinds of people: those who believe and follow God’s wisdom, those who say they follow God and yet struggle continually, and those who have never given their lives to God’s wisdom.

Conclusion

Every person that lives with or according to the wisdom of God thinks and lives their life with eternity in view, knowing that the greatest reward is gained by staying the course and remaining faithful to God and His word.
